This watch does it all. I will probably never tap into all of its capabilities. Borrowed one for my last Ironman and just had to have my own- click through all the disciplines, including transitions, smooth as silk. And for training, it gives you run metrics, swim feedback including SWOLF, VO2, and of course, pace, averages and pretty much anything you might want. Its a fairly good sized watch due to battery life, but sunup to sundown, it just goes. I love it! I struggled with cheaper alternatives, as triathlon can be a pricey habit, but finally get to strap on a product that just plain gets the job done- have enough hassles without dealing with a cranky watch!! Should have done this sooner. Get one.

Was told by Garmin "you should have bought the more expensive sapphire version". The durability of the Fenix 3 crystal is laughable compared to even a $30 Timex Ironman. I wore a suunto for two years in many conditions and never scratched it. Pretty disappointed.
