Abstract: [Objective]To evaluate the content of Methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl(MMT)in the air of Guangzhou city.[Methods]After the atmospheric samples in 50 areas of Guangzhou were gathered,the concentration of Manganese were determined quantitatively using flame atom absorption method.[Results]The average concentration of Manganese in the air of Guangzhou was 57.96 μg/m3,which was significant differenct compared with maximum allowable concentration of Manganese in Chinese inhabited area(10 μg/m3)(P﹤0.05).[Conclusion]The use of MMT can cause serious pollution to the air of Guangzhou city.
